Gordia is an indigenous name for the area in Slovenia where Andrej Čep, the winemaker, runs a restaurant with the same name. After starting studies in economics, he fell in love with the world of wine and decided to change course by creating his own estate. Andrej is the first generation of winemaker but this does not prevent him to honor the traditional procedure. Gordia grows organic grapes and the wines are produced with skin contact and spontaneous fermentation on native yeasts without use of oenological products apart from sulphur.
